Who are we?

We are Robin Berglid & Iiris Celine Endresen, nice to meet you!

With a passion for overlanding, travelling and the outdoors, they created Norex Overland in 2019 for friends and family to follow their journey. Robin has a background in arctic guiding from Svalbard and Iceland and Iiris as a photographer with passion for the Nordic and arctic nature. Since 2015, Robin has owned a  modified Toyota Hilux Arctic Truck 44" in Iceland - this is their overland rig now fitted with a UniCap hardtop from STORM Adapt and a James Baroud Space XL roof top tent.

In 2020 they hosted the very first Norex Overland guided tour during COVID for everyone in Norway as they could not travel abroad.

It got fully booked quite quickly and was high in demand for a re-do the following year and this is how Norex Overland Festival was born in 2021.

In an amazing location in the westfjords of Norway right next to impressive mountains, fjords and glaciers, their expo journey started. Each year there was multiple international guests attending from both other European countries and even from Australia making each year a success.

 

As Norex Overland represents our personal journey and guiding services, a rebrand of the festival was a natural next step to differentiate the two ventures. As of 2025, the event will be known as the Scandinavian Overland Expo — the largest overlanding expo of its kind in Norway.
